Although I live and work somewhat in isolation, my work evolves naturally and sometimes connects subliminally to world issues.
As an expat, I see my painting as having various sources of inspiration - I think about past landscapes and their forms and colours when painting new works, together with a continual renewal of process, it all comes together in a collective way.
It is the variation of space and form, how it is treated, that creates the depth in the works; not unlike the differences in culture to create a rich depth of field in a large landscape that can mirror other places.
